Van Neistat is the creative mind behind the YouTube channel, The Spirited Man, an unlimited series about the spirited man or woman who lives inside all of us (and fixing things). He is also an early pioneer of budget filmmaking in his HBO series, The Neistat Brothers.
In 2023 Neistat was awarded the IMI Award for his film "Running Sucks."
